So you’ve got a business — but you want it to be bigger. Who wouldn’t?

Growth is the key to success, but it can be difficult to accomplish on your own.

There are experts out there who have the experience you need — but how do you know which ones to trust?

For every expert — there are a dozen companies that have no clue what they’re doing.

I’m not the professional you’re looking for — but I do have some experience at finding them.

Here are 5 essential things to look for when you need a rapid growth expert.

1.No Initial Commitment

Some companies will expect you to sign contracts or make payments before you even get to hear their plan.

Don’t get stuck in that trap — if they want your money before they even outline a strategy, take your business somewhere else.

It’s alright to make a commitment, but not until after you know exactly what you’re getting in return.

2. Personal Attention

It’s not unusual to come across companies who say they can make you a success — just fill out these forms and let them put their one-size-fits-all solution to work.

It’s not true.

Your business is unique, and it needs a unique strategy.

You want to talk to a real person, have a conversation about what your business needs, and how they can provide it.

3. Selective Offers

If you come across a company that says they can make anyone a success — they’re probably not telling the truth.

You need to have a good business already, even with the best marketing strategy.

A growth specialist who is willing to take on any company, sight unseen, is unlikely to get you the results you need.

They should want to know about your company, and how amazing it is, so they can figure out how to make it even better.

4. Experience

Of course, you want a professional with experience on your side, but how much experience is enough?

In most situations, you might think the more experience, the better.

That’s true, to a point.

The world is a changing place, and you don’t want someone who’s too set in their ways.

5 years is probably enough experience. 10 would be better, but at the end of the day no specific number is a definite guarantee.

5. Assurance

This is perhaps the hardest thing to come by in a specialist, but it exists.

There are different ways you can be assured you’re making the right choice.

One is reputation.

If you find a specialist that’s been featured by reputable sources — business magazines, or high profile news sources — you can be sure they’re legitimate and effective.

Another way is the less frequently used but always reassuring cash incentive.

Some experts are so sure of themselves, they won’t ask for any money from you out of pocket — except perhaps a tiny deposit when booking to ensure you’re not out to waste their time.

When you’re ready to grow your business, remember that it’s not something you want to try alone.

Finding the right professional can make all the difference.

With these handy tips, you should have no problem finding the help you need to get the success you deserve.
