The Supreme Court Upheld The ACA & Here’s Why You Should Probably Be Grateful
The Supreme Court. The nation’s highest court. The place that has the final say when it comes to justice and the laws of the land. The place where appeals are made.
Some laws passed by the supreme court may not be pleasing to everyone.
The Affordable Care Act is one of them.
This bill was expected to fail by some in high places, but the fact that it remains in place should be a reason for all, especially those who cannot afford healthcare, to celebrate.
Don’t see a reason to celebrate or be grateful to the Supreme Court and the current powers that be?
Maybe next time you get to enjoy the following, you will be.
You should know by now that getting your dental health in order is as important as getting your overall physical health taken care of. If your mouth is sick then you can’t eat — and if you don’t eat right, then your health deteriorates. This could even kill you!
Dental care is expensive without insurance — and for this reason, you see a lot of folks going around with bad teeth. Not because they want to, but because they simply cannot afford to take care of them.
Health insurance helps to shave off a great deal of what you would normally spend to take care of your mouth, and it also makes dental services affordable for those who couldn’t afford them.
And guess who or what is responsible for health insurance still being in place? The Supreme Court that passed the Affordable Care Act!
With the increase in the use of electronic devices for work and leisure purposes comes the increase in optic damage. You may have 20/20 vision but still develop eye problems, especially in the post-pandemic era, when many of us are forced to work from home.
And what’s the remedy for that?
Eyecare services. You may need corrective or protective eyewear, and this is not easy to come by without health insurance.
See, health insurance is kind of like a crutch for your pockets. When you visit the doctor’s you can be sure that you’re walking out with some money left in your wallet because health insurance takes care of the rest.
And who is responsible for you having this crutch? You guessed it: the Supreme Court’s decision!
Other Medical Expenses
Things like ambulance services, hospital stays, drugs, and medical supplies are not for free… unless you have health insurance.
Imagine having the beginnings of a heart attack and not having money to cover the ambulance expenses so you opt to call a cab. Because it doesn’t have a siren, you arrive at the hospital too late — and several crucial degrees too cold.
Tragic, isn’t it?
With health insurance, you don’t have to worry about that and you can safely get the medical attention you need on time.
Now, these are just a few reasons for you to celebrate and be grateful for the benefit of health insurance. Sure you have to put in to get out of it, but it saves you a lot in the long run and it’s totally worth it.
Wouldn’t you agree?
